Thoughts
I had almost no interest in this movie when I first saw the trailers, even though I liked the cast. But as soon as I heard it was from Succession writer Mark Maylod and in the style of Succession, and I read the reviews, I was angry at myself for missing it and desperately waiting for it to be released on home video.
For me, this movie did not work nearly as well as Succession, and I was again underwhelmed. Yes, the premise is insane and the satire works somewhat, and some of the twists work and some of the comedy works; you also feel scared for the characters at times, but put together it didn't round out for me.
Again, I think this is a very well-made movie that just didn't properly click for me.
